Pomegranate Marinade for Grilled Steak
Pomegranate juice, like red wine, has tannins, which are acidic and help tenderize meat. And that’s one reason why pomegranate juice makes a fabulous marinade for grilled steak! This recipe is a classic with a Red Crown twist.
Makes 4 Servings
Ingredients
- 1 pound skirt steak
- ¾ cup Red Crown Pomegranate Juice (Original or With Pulp)
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon rosemary
Instructions
-
Whisk all ingredients together in small bowl. Place the skirt steak in a sealable plastic bag or air-tight container, followed by marinade.
-
Seal the bag tightly, squeezing out as much air as possible. Gently knead the bag to ensure steak is well-coated by marinade.
-
Place in the fridge to marinate at least 30 minutes, ideally between 6-20 hours.
-
Remove steak from bag and place on platter to bring to room temperature. Grill and serve to your liking.
