Everything you need to know about Red Crown Pomegranate Juice.

What does Red Crown represent?

Legend has it that the bright red crown-like feature on top of the pomegranate first inspired kings to wear crowns. Our Red Crown symbol represents our commitment to honouring the powerful qualities of this fruit in our juice – from taste to health.

What are the ingredients of Red Crown Pomegranate Juice?

100% pure pomegranate juice! That’s all!

What does “not from concentrate” mean?

Most other pomegranate juices on the Canadian market are made from concentrate. This means that after the juice has been extracted from the pomegranate fruit, it receives a heat treatment that evaporates nearly all of the natural water in the fruit. The remaining content (or “concentrate”) is then packed, frozen, and shipped to Canada, where it is mixed with water to turn back into juice. The result is a lower quality, processed juice with drastically reduced health benefits and an altered flavour.

Red Crown Pomegranate Juice is made exclusively from seasonally harvested pomegranates and is never mixed with water. Our pomegranate juice contains only the fruit, the real fruit, and nothing but the fruit! It simply tastes better than other pomegranate juices and has superior nutritional value and health benefits. We think you’ll agree.

Do you add sugar or other additives and preservatives to Red Crown Pomegranate Juice?

Absolutely not! Red Crown Pomegranate Juice is made exclusively from freshly squeezed pomegranates and contains no added sugar, water, or preservatives.

How long can I store Red Crown Pomegranate Juice?

Our juice should be refrigerated after opening and consumed within 10 to 14 days.

It can also be frozen to make healthy popsicles!

Can I trust the quality and benefits of Red Crown Pomegranate Juice?

Absolutely. We are a proud Canadian company and are committed to bringing the highest quality products to Canadian consumers. We take tremendous pride in our work and you can be assured of the superior quality and delicious taste of Red Crown Pomegranate Juice by trying it yourself.

What is the difference between Red Crown Pomegranate Juice and pomegranate juices made from concentrate?

The difference between Red Crown Pomegranate Juice and juices made from concentrate is comparable to the difference between fresh fruit and dried fruit. Have you ever heard that a dry apple a day will keep the doctor away? No! Red Crown Pomegranate Juice is the only 100% pure pomegranate juice that brings you the maximum taste and powerful benefits of freshly squeezed pomegranates.

How should I decide which pomegranate juice to drink?

When you buy pomegranate juice check the label to be sure that you’re drinking pure pomegranate juice, and not a mixture of juices that contain added sugar. The sugar adds more calories to the juice, which reduces its benefits. Also, make sure the juice is not made from concentrate and does not include any other additives or preservatives.

Where do you source your pomegranates from?

All Red Crown pomegranates are grown and harvested at our own orchards in Azerbaijan. We have 400 hectares of orchards planted with local varieties of pomegranates that we believe are the best in the world. The region’s climate is subtropical, ranging from 750–850 metres above sea level, which gives the fruit its bold, unique, and superior flavour. We also monitor our orchards according to strict regulations as per our certified organic status.

How rich in antioxidants is Red Crown Pomegranate Juice?

The main antioxidant components in pomegranates are polyphenols, such as tannins and anthocyanins. Each cup (250ml) of Red Crown Pomegranate Juice has about 1103 mg of polyphenols.

Is that a lot?

Yes! Red Crown Pomegranate Juice has at least three times more polyphenols than cranberry juice, blueberry juice, green tea, or red wine and significantly more than other pomegranate juice brands on the market.

How do you choose a pomegranate at the grocery store?

Pomegranates should have thin, tough, unbroken skin that ranges in color from pink to deep red. When you’re choosing a pomegranate, focus on the weight rather than the color — the heavier the pomegranate, the more juice it contains.

How do you eat pomegranates?

There is one definitive way to eat pomegranates. Check out our step-by-step guide here.

It’s best to eat the seeds (called arils) right away, but they will last two weeks in a sealed container in the refrigerator or for many months frozen. Unopened pomegranates can last up to one month on the counter or two months in the refrigerator.

How often should you drink pomegranate juice?

Due to the incredible health benefits of the fruit, we recommend drinking pomegranate juice every day or working it into your other recipes.
