Pomegranate Ginger Bourbon Cocktail
A new fashioned old fashioned. Classic bourbon and bitters get dressed up with spicy (freshly made) ginger syrup and tangy pomegranate juice.
Ingredients
- 1 oz. ginger syrup (recipe below)
- 1 ½ oz. Red Crown Pomegranate Juice (Original or With Pulp)
- 2 oz. bourbon
- 2 dashes bitters
- squeeze of lime
Ginger Syrup:
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbsp. freshly grated ginger root
Instructions
For Cocktail:

Combine ginger syrup, pomegranate juice, bourbon, bitter and lime over ice in shaker.

Shake vigorously for 10 seconds and strain into highball glass filled with crushed ice.
For Ginger Syrup:

Make the syrup by combining sugar, water and grated ginger in small saucepan. Bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and let cool.
